- Proof of Social Security Number: Your SSN card, W-2 form, or pay-stub with your SSN.
- Proof of Residency: Utility bills, lease agreements, or bank statements with your current address.
If Your Name Has Changed
For those who had a name change due to marriage or divorce or, for that matter, any reason, you’ll need additional documentation:
- Marriage Certificate: If your current name differs from your ID or birth certificate due to marriage.
- Divorce Decree: If it reflects your name change.
- Court Order: For any other legal name change documentation.

Not ready to switch over to a REAL ID? Fear not, dear traveler, because there are other acceptable forms of identification! You can also use:
– A valid U.S. Passport
– A U.S. Passport Card
– A Department of Homeland Security trusted traveler card (such as Global Entry)
– A Permanent Resident Card
