1. Manuel Antonio National Park

A crown jewel of Costa Rica, this National Park is teeming with amazing flora & fauna that are waiting for you to discover. The forest is home to sloths, iguanas, the rare and adorable squirrel monkeys, white-faced monkeys, and millions of colorful little crabs. When you aren’t hiking through the jungles, head to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world lined with lush forests.  Make sure to take some time to snorkel in the colorful reefs. We recommend the trail that winds around Punta Catedral that features spectacular views.

2. Arenal Volcano National Park

You need to experience the majesty of Costa Rica’s most famous active volcano and its surrounding natural wonders once in your lifetime. During the day visitors are treated to smoke billowing from the peak while at night basaltic lava streams down from an active vent on the western side. There are a number of short trails that lead around the volcanos, affording views of lava eruptions. And you can rest assured that the park rangers here are diligent in maintaining safety standards.

3. Corcovado National Park

Corcovado National Park is one of the largest lowland tropical rainforests in Central America and the best place in Costa Rica for wildlife watching. Thanks to its large size, Corcovado National Park is home to big cats like the puma, ocelot, jaguarundi, margay, and the endangered jaguar. Besides big cats, you can also see four species of monkeys and endangered birds like toucans and scarlet macaws.
